Andy Schanz graduated
from the University of
Oregon with a Bachelor
of Music Performance and
summa cum laude honors in
2003.Afterwards, Andy
completed a year's worth of
music education coursework
in 2004, during which time
he studied conducting under
the direction of Robert Ponto. In addition to his
duties regularly rehearsing
the Oregon Tuba Ensemble as
their conductor, Andy
teaches many middle and high
school low brass and
electric bass students in
the Eugene/Springfield area
and does bass transcription
work for Hal Leonard
Corporation. |

The purpose of this organization
to promote the image and appreciation of the
Tuba and Euphonium, their use as a means of
artistic expression, and to encourage
communication between Tuba and Euphonium
players everywhere.
To fund
scholarships for University of Oregon
students majoring in Low brass performance
and for high school Tuba/Euphonium students
to attend band camps at the University of
Oregon or Oregon State University.
